About the Founder

Jackie Mccallum is the founder and owner of Crowfield Farm. She is a certified equine assisted learning facilitator through Dreamwinds and Cartier Farm.  She has been an Ontario registered veterinary technician since 2001 and an AEMCA Certified paramedic since 2010. Both of these credentials have provided her with invaluable experience within the veterinary profession and first responder professions to provide insightful facilitation.

Jackie has had over 40 years of experience working with horses and has evolved her life around animals since a very young age. She grew up on a dairy farm whilst always having a horse in the yard.  Jackie acquired her first pony at the age of 5 which began her lifelong passion in the equestrian world.  Throughout her earlier days, she spent many years in various capacities training and riding and continues with her learning journey to date.   She is a firm believer that the learning path is always ongoing. She has truly developed an understanding of experiential learning which has fueled and bridged the platform in which the pillars of equine assisted learning is grounded in.
